Sydnee Journel is the Senior Manager, Government Relations (Western US States) for Aurora (Nasdaq: AUR), a leading technology company delivering the benefits of self-driving technology safely, quickly, and broadly. In this role, Sydnee engages with state government officials, local leaders, and community-based organizations across the United States to champion Aurora's policy initiatives. Before joining Aurora, Sydnee served as the City Policy & Government Affairs Manager at Waymo (formerly Google's Self-Driving Car Project), where she honed her expertise in navigating complex urban policy landscapes. Her experience also includes her tenure as the Assistant Director of Community Relations for Stanford University, and earlier, her work at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group. Beyond her professional roles, Sydnee is a dedicated community leader, serving on the California Transportation Foundation Board, Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce Board, Mountain View Chamber of Commerce Board, and Mountain View Chamber Foundation Board. She holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and an MS & BS in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
