Josh Rodriguez serves as the Program Director for Environment at the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), where he oversees the Committee on Environment and Sustainability and the Committee on Transportation System Security and Resilience, guiding national work on natural resource protections, decarbonization, air quality, NEPA, hazardous materials, resilience, and emergency response and recovery. With more than two decades of experience in the environmental sector, Josh brings a wealth of expertise and leadership across multiple industries, specifically in water and transportation. Before joining AASHTO, Joshua Rodriguez dedicated 11 years to the DC Department of Energy and Environment, culminating in the position of Associate Director for Inspection and Enforcement. Earlier, Josh spent ten years as an environmental consultant at AECOM, tackling complex challenges across the industry. Josh holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University.
