Vince Garcia is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in civil engineering and has worked for the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) in various capacities for over 38 years. He began his career as a road designer and then transitioned to a bridge design engineer for 8 years. Between 1995 and 2003, he led WYDOT’s Information Technology program and was involved with numerous network, database, and software development projects. Since 2003, he has managed WYDOT's Intelligent Transportation Systems and Geographic Information Systems Program. He has worked with the team to build a statewide Transportation Management Center and to deploy numerous intelligent transportation pre-trip, roadside, and in-vehicle systems. Most recently, he has worked with the team to demonstrate connected vehicle technology in Wyoming.
