Partnering for Regional TMC Interoperability and Emergency Response Resilience

As large‑scale emergencies increasingly cross jurisdictional boundaries, this panel explores how strong interagency partnerships are enabling regional Traffic Management Center (TMC) interoperability to improve incident response, evacuation support, and traveler information across the Western U.S. Leaders from DOTs, local agencies, and emergency management organizations will share real‑world lessons on governance, data sharing, and interoperable systems that enhance situational awareness, coordination, and responder and traveler safety, while addressing challenges such as legacy systems, policy barriers, and sustainable funding. The session concludes with a practical, partnership‑driven roadmap for advancing regional TMC interoperability across technical, operational, and policy dimensions.
