Tom Robins is an award-winning leader in public policy and transportation safety. He founded WorkZoneSafe.com with the mission to ensure every driver knows there is a face and family behind every flag, cone, and flashing light. Tom helped Oklahoma become the first state to require all new teen drivers to complete work zone safety training before earning a license, setting a new safety standard that is being adopted nationwide. Tom facilitates Oklahoma’s Autonomous Vehicle Working Group, guiding public and private partners in preparing for emerging mobility technologies.
Previously, Tom served as Oklahoma’s Deputy Secretary of Energy, implementing the Governor’s energy plan and representing the state before national organizations including the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission, the Southern States Energy Board, and the Western Governors Association.
Earlier, he served as Manager of Government Affairs for Chesapeake Energy. While in Washington, D.C, he was the Coordinating Producer for Media and Broadcast Partnerships at The George Washington University and served on the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee staff during the Supreme Court confirmations of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito.
Tom holds a B.A. in History from Utah State University and an M.A. in Political Management from George Washington University. He lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with his wife and three sons, who all loudly cheer for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
